What feeding natural will do for your horses.

April 7th, 2009

Hi Lorrie,  Just wanted to keep you posted on Boo.  He is back to his old self again - caught them playing ( Comet Boo & Fred) with one of our orange cones - playing tug of war, guard the cone and playing chew face and mock rearing!!  Hasn’t done that in YEARS!!  Thought he was too old to want to play anymore ( he used to love the horse balls with the handle - would throw it - stomp it and chase it when he was younger and shake it back and forth in his mouth - beating himself in the face with it).  Your program really worked for him and I am so grateful to see him back to his old self.  The echinea finally came - he didn’t want to eat his lunch with it in it ( he can tell whenever I add anything to his feed) so I saved it and will give it to him today.  Doesn’t mind the olive leaf though.  Hope that comes soon - almost out of it but he’s only on it till Friday ( that will be two weeks).  He’s like a new horse!! I’m sure the big sky is helping too!!  I did order some of the O-A-Sis for Runaway ( 28yr old mare) as Mr. Miller said it would help her gain weight and I think I’ve got Glenn convinced to take her off the Equine Senior and onto the Standlee pellets ( she always wants Boo’s food and he wants hers - no way!)  So will switch her gradually and add the O-A-Sis and she how she does!!  Michelle has already ordered the Big Sky from him and is debating being a distributor for him too!!  Gave Ron Vogel the Big Sky info - think he’s going to switch to that too.  He was using a mineral supplement from Dynamite but discovered it has corn middlings in it ( too much sugar)  and has one horse that may be borderline IR - so gave him a few brochures to spread around.
Let me know when you find out about the dolomite. I mentioned it to Mr. Miller - said he’d find it for you.
I’m just so happy Boo is so much better - don’t know how to thank you!!!! Will try and get you some more clients!!!

Canola oil is it killing you?

March 28th, 2009

Consumption of canola oil has also been shown to cause fibrotic lesions of the heart, CNS degenerative disorders states.

Consumption of canola oil
has also been shown to cause fibrotic lesions of the heart,
CNS degenerative disorders, prostate cancer, anemia, lung cancer,
constipation, irritation of the mucous membranes and has many

toxic effects, according to many nutritionists and biochemists  with prostate cancer, anemia, lung cancer, constipation, irritation  of the bowels and many  other toxic effects on the human body why would you even consider ingesting it?

Read your labels folks! Even Bryers ice cream has canola oil in it as do many salad dressing , here is a idea make your own that way you know what you are ingesting.

Time to wake up to your life  and your health!

Our Lives How We Create It.

March 25th, 2009

Yesterday a old friend of my husband stopped by, he traveled all the way from Texas.

He has had a lung collapsed on him so he was carrying his oxgen tank with him. At dinner he smoked his cigerettes while breathing into his machine.

As a holistic practitioner we are taught to not judge and to look at the lesson this person  brought to our reality at that moment  in time.

First the love we have for ourselves  simply put is lacking , as so with this person.  Is there still hope for him ? Maybe?

The lesson was easy to see for my family who also smoke cigarettes ,they were simply looking at their future. Now they had a opportunity to make a choice in their own lives, that is what my friend presented to them .

So I ask you to look at your  awakening  moments that come to lives today- instead of judging others that don’t express love for themsevles look at the lessons that they are bring to you. For a great read go here.

Diabetes what to Eat.

March 11th, 2009

Type 2 diabetes, or what was once called adult onset diabetes, is an
increasing worldwide epidemic affecting nearly 100 million people and
over 20 million Americans. We are seeing increasing rates of Type 2
diabetes, especially in children, a group in which the incidence of the
disease has increased over 1000% in the last decade and in which it was
virtually unknown before this generation. One in three children born
today will have diabetes in his or her lifetime. In a report in the New
England Journal of Medicine, Walter Willett, MD, PhD and his colleagues
from the Harvard School of Public Health demonstrated that 91% of all
Type 2 disease could be prevented through improvements in lifestyle and
diet.

If you have pre-diabetes or even diabetes, however, new science shows
us that it is reversible through an aggressive approach of lifestyle
changes, nutritional support and, occasionally, medications. It is
important to diagnose Type 2 diabetes early, but it is often not
diagnosed until very late. In fact, all doctors should aggressively
diagnose pre-diabetes decades before diabetes occurs and before any
damage is done to your body.

Don’t Wait Until It’s Too Late
Damage begins with even slight changes in insulin and blood sugar
levels. Unfortunately, there is a continuum of risk from slightly
abnormal insulin and blood sugar to full-blown diabetes. The disease
should be addressed as early as possible on the continuum. In a recent
study, anyone with a fasting blood sugar level of over 87 was at
increased risk of diabetes. The lowest-risk group had a blood sugar
level of less than 81. Most doctors are not concerned until the blood
sugar level is over 110 or, worse, over 126, which is diabetes.
Therefore, I recommend early testing for anyone who has a family
history of Type 2 diabetes, central abdominal weight gain or abnormal
cholesterol. Don’t wait until your blood sugar level is high.

Eating Well
The foods you eat can have huge effects on your health. Eating the
right foods will balance your blood sugar, reduce inflammation and
oxidative stress, and improve liver detoxification–all of which help
prevent and reverse insulin resistance and diabetes. In general, you
should follow a whole-foods diet that contains plenty of
anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and detoxifying foods. Control the
glycemic load of your meals by combining protein, fats, and whole-food
carbohydrates at every meal or snack.

When to Eat
* Eat protein for breakfast every day
* Eat something every 4 hours to balance blood sugar
* Eat small protein snacks in the morning and afternoon
* Finish eating at least 2 to 3 hours before bed

What to Eat
* Organic produce and animal products - especially fresh fruits such as
berries, cherries, peaches, plums, rhubarb, pears, apples and
low-glycemic vegetables such as asparagus, broccoli, kale, spinach,
cabbage, and Brussels sprouts
* High-quality protein such as fish and shellfish - including
cold-water fish such as salmon, halibut, and sable, which contain
omega-3 oils that reduce inflammation
* Up to eight omega-3 eggs a week
* Low-glycemic legumes - lentils, chickpeas, soybeans
* Detoxifying foods such as cruciferous vegetables, green tea,
watercress, dandelion greens, cilantro, artichokes, garlic, citrus
peels, pomegranate, and even cocoa
* Culinary herbs such as rosemary, ginger, and turmeric
* Lots of fiber - 30 to 50 grams per day, especially soluble or viscous
fiber (from legumes, nuts, seeds, whole grains, vegetables, and fruit)
* Extra-virgin olive oil
* Soy products such as soymilk, soybeans, and tofu
* Nuts and seeds - including raw walnuts, almonds, macadamia nuts, and
pumpkin and flax seeds
* Chocolate - that contains 70% cocoa (up to 2-3 oz a day)

What Not to Eat
* All processed or junk foods
* Foods containing refined white flour and sugar, such as breads,
cereals, flour-based pastas, bagels, and pastries
* All foods containing high-fructose corn syrup
* All artificial sweeteners & caffeine
* Starchy, high-glycemic cooked vegetables such as potatoes, corn, and
root vegetables such as rutabagas, parsnips, and turnips
* Processed fruit juices
* Processed canned vegetables
* Trans Fats - foods containing hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated
oils such as margarine & soybean oil
* Processed oils such as corn, safflower, sunflower, peanut, and canola the worst , it makes the health industry ton’s of $$$$

Wake Up America to your own Health!

February 27th, 2009

According to the Environmental Defense Group, more than 4 billion pounds of toxic
chemicals are released into the environment each year, and 72 million of those
pounds are known carcinogens.Every year 10.9 million people across the globe are diagnosed with cancer and 6.7
million people die because of cancer. This is about 12% of all global deaths. The U.S.
ranks in the top three countries with the highest rate of cancer in both men and
women. The U.S. is also one of the top toxin producers.

The Environmental Working Group discovered in 2004 that toxicity begins in the
womb. The placenta apparently does not protect the developing fetus from toxins
and pollutants. The study demonstrated an average of 287 industrial chemicals
found in babies’ umbilical-cord blood, including mainly known carcinogens and neuro-
toxins (brain and nervous systems), but also others that affect lungs, hormone
production, and general fetal development. These toxins consisted of pesticides,
consumer product ingredients, and wastes from burning coal, gasoline, and garbage.

The study proceeded to reveal that as we age, the levels of these contaminants only
continue to persist. Toxins such as heavy metals, PCBs, pesticides, herbicides, and
various other cancer-causing and neuro-toxic chemicals, including nitrosamines
found in processed meats and a probable causative factor in type-II diabetes, are all
considered prime immune system stressors which can lead to numerous diseases
including neurological problems, cancers, and general cellular aging. Also highly
evident were metals such as mercury (which amazingly enough is still found in many
vaccines and “silver” dental fillings), cadmium, arsenic and lead, which are all strongly
correlated with various neurological disorders such as autism, Alzheimer’s disease,
dementia, etc.

A more recent study by the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, in
collaboration with the Environmental Working Group, showed an average of 91
industrial chemicals in the blood and urine of participants. Other studies are finding
rocket fuel in 100% of breast milk samples taken from women across 18 states, but
even unborn children are at high risk.

… and it goes on and on. Even if some studies show a particular toxin is harmful,
no one has done, or is capable of doing, a study which shows how all these toxins
interact with each other and what the effect of the combination is on us. Of course
we can observe for ourselves the astronomical increase of auto-immune diseases,
“genetic” abnormalities, and brain dysfunctions to name just a few of the modern
health challenges. Decide for yourself.

Signs of Toxicity

·             fatigue

·             insomnia

·             allergies/asthma

·             depression

·             nervousness or hyperactivity

·             appendicitis

·             arthritis

·             bronchitis

·             colitis

·             conjunctivitis

·             dermatitis (including psoriasis & various lesions)

·             hepatitis

·             lymphademitis

·             nephritis

and so on until, in the last stages of toxic overload, we see ulcerations, tumors and
all forms of cancers.

Hello America Wake UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey it is your life, enjoy your heavy metals today.

What your mind needs to function…….

The Way We Eat May Be “Making Us Crazy”
This report cites bad habits like skipping breakfast, eating fast food, etc and how that leaves the body wanting. The “Feeding Minds” report from
England says British now eat 34% fewer veggies and 59% less fish than 60 years ago. Refined carbs, saturated fats and additives are “a recipe for irritability, mood swings and worse”. Modern farming and meat animal feeds have also changed the composition of fruits, veggies and meats, for the worse. “Food allergens are yet another contributor to mental health issues, including mood and attention problems. According to Russell B. Marz, ND, an assistant professor of nutrition at the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon, the growing use of genetically modified high fructose corn syrup in many foods and beverages has been suspected not only in increasing rates of obesity and diabetes, but also serious food allergies.”These changes add up to neurological challenges such as slower brain function and chronic inflammation. Poor diet has been linked with mental health in a number of conditions…
· ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).
Studies show that people with ADHD are low in certain types of omega-3 fatty acids, like DHA.
· Anxiety.
Nervousness and anxiety are associated with a lack of folic acid, niacinamide, pyridoxine, magnesium and calcium.
· Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Research has linked Alzheimer’s with an increased level of homocysteine, an amino acid metabolite associated with decreased levels of folate, B-12 and pyridoxine.
· Depression.
Depression is linked to low fish consumption, as well as deficiencies in B vitamins, vitamin C, folic acid, magnesium, selenium and zinc.
· Irritability.
A lack of vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine), magnesium and selenium is commonly found in people who are irritable.
· Poor memory and concentration.
Lapses in memory and concentration may be linked to a lack of B-12 and other B vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids and zinc.
· Schizophrenia.
Evidence suggests that people with this disorder have low levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids or antioxidant enzymes in the brain… and low levels of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid).
